If your mother language is not English, and you want to type your mother language frequently on your Android device, then you don't need to install any other app as the default Android app 'Gbord' already has that option. It will work everywhere: SMS, Facebook, Gmail ...


3 types of options are available:

  1. Phonetic,
  2. Handwriting,
  3. Voice Typing.

Let's walk through the whole process.



Open the "Settings" option from default keyboard. Here both options are available.



Now tap Languages and then Add keyboard.



Enable "Voice Typing".



Now comeback to keyboard. You can see the "Language Switch" option. You can also touch and hold the space bar to switch languages. Both are same.



Now if you type anything phonetically, it will be converted to English. For example,


ami vat khai ▶ আমি ভাত খাই

If you want handwriting options, hit the Language switch option again. Now type anything in your mother language.




Not only that, you have magnificent "Voice Typing" option.



You can switch the language for Voice Typing too.
